Algae Magazine is an annual, print publication sustained through community contributors and volunteers since 2023. Each issue addresses the environmental impact of fashion and explores alternatives for sustainable creation through art, writing and visual storytelling. Our latest editions reside in The Rutgers University-Newark library, along with several other independent bookstores and retailers in the NYC metropolitan area and beyond.

Across all three editions, Algae Magazine offers an idealistic vision of a future where fashion and lifestyle choices exist in harmony with the environment. Each issue carefully dissects the meaning of sustainability, highlighting how creators around the world are responding to the climate crisis through their work.
